What else can I say. I really hope this comes off. Miss 3 had another Monet moment this morning. J thinks she is following in her grandmothers footsteps.
Little miss 3 is the only member of our family that eats tomatoes. So we planted some especially for her. On Monday 29th December she harvested the first 4 cherry tomatoes from the bushes.
This morning we had our ritual stroll around the garden to check on the progress of our vegies and miss 3 harvested another dozen.
Last night I decided, only god knows why, I would do a roast chicken dinner with all the vegies on a 34 deg day. It was lovely to ask J to go and get me some carrots for dinner. Miss 5 is so proud of the pickings
pitty we can't get her to eat them yet.
For a couple of months I have been madly crocheting orders for Cute Critters Cat Purses and Dog Purses. They are gorgeous purses for your little girl. I have been asked to make them for ages 2 - 10yrs and they are well loved by their new owners.
Here is the first cat that I made for my niece for her birthday on September 11th. It's not a very good picture but I forgot to take one myself before giving it to her.

The Second cat was made with one thread of white and one thread of varigated orange, green and white. I gave this little critter a seude collar with a little bell.
Then my first dog. It was a marathon trying to find a nice brown to make the dog in. Most of the colours were yukky or it was pure wool and was going to cost $30 for the wool alone. I found this lovely yarn on eBay at double the standard cost, but alot less than $30
I took a photo of the inside of the bag which is a decent side to fit a few little girlie things in.
I am working on two more cats at the moment in grey and I have another puppy to do in chocolate brown. I'll get their photos up here when they are finished.
These are so cute and are a fabulous gift for a baby shower or new borns arrival. I have only done two so far, but there are another 6 for me to try. Cat, Panda, Lion, Fluffy puppy, Bear and Rabbit.
The wonderful thing about these little pillows is that you can do them in any colour combination you like and they still look fabulous. The lamb in the book was white with a mauve face. The lady that placed the order for this one decided she wanted it to be in two different colour blues for a baby boy.
For those of us with a technical bend towards computers ? . .
Why Computers Sometimes Crash!?
by Dr. Seuss
(Read this to yourself aloud - it's great!)

If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port, and the bus is interrupted as a very last resort, and the access of the memory makes your floppy disk abort, then the socket packet pocket has an error to report.

If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash, and the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash, and your data?is?corrupted 'cause the index doesn't hash, then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash!

If the label on the cable on the table at your house, says the network is connected to the button on your mouse, but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol, that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall....

And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss, so your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse, then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang, 'cuz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang.

When the copy on your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk, and the macro code instructions?cause?unnecessary risk, then you'll have to flash the memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM, then quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your Mom!

Well, that certainly clears things up for me.?
How about you?

I thought I would add this to my blog. I'm sure many of you will enjoy Andy's music as much as I do.
Buoyed by the success of the Sydney launch on Tuesday 11 November which saw around thirty Valley and Highlands friends and family make the journey up to Newtown and join a crowd of 110 to welcome this album, Life Got In The Way, into existence Andy has decided to do a launch at home in Kangaroo Valley.

I was very surprised by the quality of this wool. It was $1.50 a ball from The Warehouse during winter. Cheap wools tend to be nasty, itchy and stiff.... but this has crocheted up to make a lovely thick & soft ladies beanie.
I have decided that this head is due to be retired, apart from the fact that her nose is dinted, her head is very small and does not represent an average sized adult head.
Crochet is a way to relax and find my centre again and also create some wonderful little items. Over the last few months I have gotten right back in to one of my hobbies, crochet. I have gone from the typical round and round granny square blankets to following patterns and experimenting. It has and still is a great learning experience.
This beautiful tweed green and yellow fleck sun hat was interesting. The colours in the photo aren't as vibrant as they are in the sun. Very funky.
